I understand we are all scared and stuck at home while our nation battles this virus. None of us have experienced this before and it’s so troubling, therefore I’m providing some tips for you to take care of yourselves at home while you are managing your own spa needs.
We all need a break at time, that includes your skin, hair and nails. While we are quarantined, and no one is going to see us, take some time out with your makeup, hair products and nail polish. Let your body breath, and remember to breath yourself during this ambiguous time. Coconut oil is one of my favorite moisturizers. I use it on my body, nails and hair. I continue to use all my wonderful serums and moisturizers on my face and exfoliate as always. Please don’t neglect your skin, you only have one face. Dehydrated skin will become reactive, red, blemishes and wrinkles.
Professionally speaking, it’s always good to take a break from the products you use daily. What better time than the present to give your hair, nails and skin a break from using products and styling your hair. Let it dry naturally, products build up on the hair shafts and for various reasons hair needs to breath and detox. The harsh styling products and heated equipment we us daily weakens the hair and it breaks, splits or sheds.
The biggest challenge I’ve been hearing from many is root regrowth. If you really are troubled by the regrowth, you can use products like brow powder or a root concealer which is sold at CVS. You can purchase a box color for under $8.00 that is a simple 30 minute process if you really can’t wait until your hair salon is up and running. Another good idea would be using a homemade masks and sleep with it on overnight if that’s easiest for you. You can use products from you own kitchen , such as Milk/honey, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Avocado and Mayonnaise are a few.
I hope this helps a little, I miss you all, and pray for the best for you and your families. Please stay strong, get proper rest, take your vitamins and eat as clean as you can. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
